Hi everyone, I’m Jen
I am a Functional Medicine & Sports Dietitian, yoga teacher and founder of Jen Marie Nutrition. After graduating from Wake Forest University, I went back to school to get my Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics and later further studied through the Institute of Functional Medicine to better understand the synergy between all areas of health.
I use a food as medicine approach to help prevent disease or target the root of your current health concerns or wellness goals. I focus on each of the pillars of health: nutrition, movement, mindfulness, community, and sleep to help my clients create sustainable habits in each area of their life so they can feel their best daily.
After working with hundreds of patients, I know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to health and no two people will have the same needs. My approach with clients is rooted in science (and often based on testing!), but leaves space to ensure nutrition and health fits seamlessly into their lives. We look at the big picture, making simple shifts and swaps in your day while working on the bigger goal - whatever that might mean for you!
I get it - it’s tough out there! With endless nutrition “noise” in the world, it can be hard to decipher what is best for YOU. I want health to feel attainable, and more than anything, I believe in living a FUN, balanced life. My goal is to live as my best self and create space for others to feel their best throughout their journey. Every person is different and their nutrition and health plans should be too!
When I am not focusing on all things nutrition, I can be found any place the sun is shining, getting in a good sweat, or with my very loud & loving family, chatting it up with a sports game on in the background.
