The BEST banana blueberry smoothie bowl

Sometimes food just makes you happy & for whatever reason (the taste, the color, the texture) this smoothie just put a big smile on my face.

Needless to say, I had to share!

I’m a fan of thick smoothies - I like to eat, not drink my smoothies. And lemme tell ya, this smoothie was THICK. I don’t know whether I liked the texture or toppings more but this just did it for me.

The smoothie base is mostly banana and blueberries, but I added some protein powder and greens to support blood sugar and increase nutritional value. That combined with these superfood toppings, really just made this smoothie the ultimate nourishment for both body AND soul.

A little note on the toppings:

  • Goji berries are full of antioxidants, including polyphenols. They help support immunity and decrease signs of aging.

  • Cacao nibs contain flavanols which help insulin sensitivity and have a protective effect on cardiovascular health.

  • Hemp seeds contain omega fatty acids which helps manage inflammation. They also are great for managing women’s hormones throughout their cycle.

Ingredients
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
Handful of ice

Topped with hemp seeds, Purely Elizabeth granola, goji & cacao + fresh organic berries
